We require 8+ years of experience, preferably in C++ and at least one other modern programming language. Candidates should have experience working with data processing tools/frameworks and Public Clouds (preferably Azure). A proven ability to learn new languages and technologies and lead others in acquiring new skills is essential. You should be comfortable with written and/or verbal communication in English. Strong Computer Science and development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis are necessary. Additionally, you should have a strong knowledge and practice of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Experience in defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs, as well as building scalable, distributed, production software systems with an understanding of design for performance and reliability, is also required.
Verantwoordelijkheden
In this role, you will solve complex problems at scale across teams, owning the software architecture and technical designs. The focus will be to resolve end-to-end scenarios of visualization – involving visualization UI, data services, map rendering, etc. You will provide technical leadership and expertise, acting as a force multiplier. This will involve checking alternative solutions, liaising between departments, and proposing optimal ways of solving usage scenarios in the visualization domain. You will enable your team for success through interaction with the technical community at the organizational level. Furthermore, you will drive technical decisions to improve engineering, testing, and operational excellence best practices. Participation in all phases of the project lifecycle is expected – gathering requirements, designing solutions, building new interfaces, integration with existing architectures, development, and testing. You will also manage technical risks to ensure successful product delivery and continuous development flow, and build scalable, highly available, and resilient applications by utilizing the optimal cloud technologies and programming languages and frameworks suited to your use cases.
