Vereisten:
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, ideally within a high-availability datacenter environment.
- Solid expert-level understanding of Layer 2/3 technologies, routing protocols, VLANs, VRRP, STP, and QoS.
- Proven hands-on experience with OSPF, BGP, multicast, VPNs (IPsec), DHCP/DNS, and NAT.
- Strong diagnostic skills using tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and NetFlow analyzers.
- Familiarity with Load Balancing technologies such as HAProxy.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Nice to Have: Vendor certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent (JNCIP, PCNSE).
- Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, MikroTik, or Ubiquiti devices.
- Nice to Have: Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for network automation tasks.
- Nice to Have: Knowledge of network monitoring stacks such as Telegraf, InfluxDB, and Grafana.
- Nice to Have: Experience setting up network automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Design & Maintain: Build, configure, and support core datacenter, office, and live studio network infrastructure (including routers, firewalls, switches, and access points).
- Reliability: Ensure high availability across all systems by managing redundancy, executing failover testing, and implementing proactive monitoring solutions.
- Security: Implement and enforce best-practice security measures, including network segmentation, Access Control Lists (ACLs), firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Scalability: Lead capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades to ensure our systems stay ahead of the curve as the business grows.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex Layer 2/3 issues in multi-vendor network environments using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Documentation: Maintain clear designs, topology diagrams, and operational procedures for all network components.
- Virtualization: Provide robust network connectivity and support for VMware environments.
- Support: Participate in a rotation for after-hours on-call support and complex troubleshooting.
