Senior Azure Cloud/.NET Engineer

- Design, implement and evolve scalable, high-performance cloud architectures for real-time telematics platforms. - Develop and maintain backend services using .NET within a modern Azure-based environment. - Work with event-driven and data-intensive architectures using Azure Cosmos DB, Event Hub and Fabric. - Actively improve system performance, reliability and scalability. - Lead and contribute to greenfield projects as well as migration trajectories from legacy systems to modern cloud architectures. - Identify and implement structural performance improvements. - Drive cloud cost optimisation and cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or availability. - Make architectural trade-offs transparent and well-argued. - Provide technical leadership by setting architectural direction, reviewing designs and code, and challenging engineering decisions across teams. - Coach, guide and align engineers across a mixed setup of in-house and remote development teams, with a strong focus on effective collaboration with outsourced partners. - Align closely with Product Management to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. - Support and advise the Management Team on technology-related topics, risks and opportunities. - Work closely with system administration and IT/security on infrastructure, availability and compliance. - Contribute to topics typically seen at Director-of-Technology level, such as budgeting and investment considerations, ISO 27001 alignment and security awareness, WBSO-related technical documentation and substantiation. - Act as an AI enabler: identifying pragmatic ways to apply AI within our products and processes. - Act as an inspirator and frontrunner within the organisation, helping to raise the technical maturity level.
