- Lead, grow, and mentor a team of engineers owning Adyens core accounting platform. - Guide the design and implementation of scalable, reliable distributed systems using Core Java, web services, queueing frameworks, REST APIs, and SQL/PostgreSQL. - Partner with product and platform teams to design new services with strong reliability and performance guarantees. - Balance long-term technical investments with feature delivery, making clear, data-driven decisions. - Build a culture centered on autonomy, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Set clear team and individual goals aligned with engineering and product strategy. - Improve operational excellence through automation, observability, and reducing manual toil. - Recruit and develop engineering talent that thrives in a fast-moving environment.
