Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with Python/Django and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with message brokers (experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka is a plus).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and Linux.
- Solid knowledge of secure coding, OWASP guidelines and API security.
- Experience leading teams or managing projects.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Nice to have: experience with networking, firewalls, and Confluence and Ansible.
Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor Developers, including onboarding, knowledge sharing, and safeguarding team rhythm and communication.
- Organize team processes in Jira (backlog, planning, workflows, reviews) and remove impediments so the team can work efficiently.
- Act as technical point of contact and facilitate stand-ups, sprint planning, refinement and retrospectives.
- Develop Python backend applications (Django, FastAPI/async, REST APIs) and perform code reviews and QA checks.
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL data models and RabbitMQ/AMQP integrations.
- Manage and further professionalize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and automate testing and deployments.
- Handle triage, analysis and support on running systems.
- Define and align epics, user stories and technical tasks in Jira with Infra, Security and Product.
- Contribute to scopes, designs, deliverables and acceptance testing.
- Promote and further implement modern software patterns (including modular architecture, caching and async processing) to keep the codebase scalable and maintainable.
- Implement security checks and ensure that code, changes and deployments comply with ISO 27001 requirements.
