Requirements
Must:
You are a hands-on marine professional who enjoys solving technical challenges under time pressure. You thrive on variety, international travel, and taking responsibility for complex projects, while remaining a strong team player and communicator.
- Degree or proven experience as Marine Engineer / Field Service Technician.
- Minimum 3 years experience in 4-stroke engine maintenance (planned, unplanned, preventive, troubleshooting).
- Strong knowledge of electronic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with vibration measurement and analysis is an advantage.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Valid drivers license B.
- Based in the Antwerp region, with own transportation.
- Willingness to travel worldwide, work weekends, and stay abroad for several weeks at a time.
- Due to frequent international travel and the need for work authorization across EU countries, only candidates with unrestricted EU work and travel rights can be considered.

Responsibilities
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be at the heart of the action - working hands-on with complex marine engines around the world. From planned maintenance to troubleshooting critical breakdowns, you will ensure vessels stay operational while leading service teams and contributing to technical improvements.
- Carry out preventive, corrective, and unplanned maintenance on advanced 4-stroke marine engines.
- Lead service technicians during maintenance, commissioning, performance tests, and root cause analysis.
- Perform troubleshooting, vibration measurement, and preventive maintenance based on analysis.
- Manage installation, implementation, and field service troubleshooting tasks.
- Deliver operational support throughout all stages of service projects.
- Identify spare parts requirements and ensure accurate follow-up.
- Analyze maintenance data and recommend improvements to processes and systems.
- Uphold HSE standards in all field activities.
- Work flexibly across Europe and worldwide, including weekends and extended periods abroad.
Description
We offer a gross monthly salary between β¬2,600 and β¬4,300 (excluding overtime and allowances). You will receive a holiday allowance and December bonus, as well as overtime hours and international travel allowances on top of your base salary.
