Requirements
Must:
I require a candidate with 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Senior QA Engineer, focusing on constant quality improvements. Strong coding skills in one or more programming languages (Java, Kotlin, C#) are essential, as is proficiency in testing complex applications and building reliable test frameworks, particularly with gRPC. Proven experience working with CI tools like GitHub Actions and defining quality gates is necessary. Additionally, I seek solid experience with git and command line tools, as well as expertise in one or more scripting languages (Python, Bash). The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to overall product quality. Experience in an agile environment is also important, along with the ability to lead by example and achieve goals. Excellent communication skills, openness, and a willingness to support others are crucial. A valid driving license and good driving skills are required, as this role involves occasional drive testing. Skills for analyzing and debugging unfamiliar code are advantageous.
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to act as a Quality Guarder in the product team responsible for the TomTom Automotive Navigation Experience. You will provide guidance and coaching on all aspects of our quality process to ensure the right mindset throughout the team. Leveraging your QA experience, you will design, develop, and execute comprehensive testing of our software across different platforms, ensuring smooth production software releases from the mainline. Utilizing your expertise in test automation, you will enable efficient and reliable regression testing or daily smoke testing. You will engage with our cross-functional teams to define test strategies, plans, and cases that align with product goals and requirements. It will also be your responsibility to identify, report, track, and learn from defects, ensuring they are properly addressed to prevent future occurrences. I encourage you to pro-actively collaborate with our Engineers, QA Engineers, and Product Managers to foster a quality culture throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). As a metrics-driven individual, you will help the team better understand areas needing improvement and recommend actionable plans. Maintaining a full commitment to quality and upholding stringent standards will be essential. You will also focus on user experience while conducting actual drive scenarios on the roads and stay at the forefront of testing best practices to drive continuous improvements in our QA processes.
Description
While experience in the automotive industry is a nice-to-have, familiarity with Unity and hardware testing will also be beneficial.
