Engineering Lead - Java

Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience with Java and potentially other programming languages
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 1 or more years of experience in a management role
- Proven track record with complex architectural designs and getting them developed/deployed
- Experience owning the whole software development lifecycle, from idea to production
- Passion for people management and coaching
- Willingness to own your work end-to-end and embrace other aspects of our Leadership Foundation
- Comfortable working as part of a geographically distributed team that prefers writing over virtual meetings
- Good communication skills, ability to write and speak English clearly and concisely
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 6-8 software engineers
- Play a part in writing and improving our code
- Participate in reviews of requirements, technical design, and code
- Be responsible for performance management and helping your team members with their career growth
- Drive execution to ensure we ship on time
- Drive operational excellence and be responsible for our production availability SLAs
- Collaborate closely with Product Management on requirements and priorities
- Represent the engineering team in internal cross-team initiatives
