Requirements
Must:
- At least 9 years of experience as a software tester, with significant focus on API and backend testing.
- Experience with (REST) API testing (JSON).
- Familiarity with test frameworks (preferably ReadyAPI, Selenium).
- Experience with test automation in a CI/CD environment (Jenkins or similar).
- Proficiency with databases (PostgreSQL or similar).
- Experience with version control (GitLab or similar).
- Strong knowledge of the software testing lifecycle (SQA), test design, and automation.
- Excellent command of English—both spoken and written.
Bonus points:
- Experience with batch processes, asynchronous flows, and/or payment or subscription domains.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.

Responsibilities
As a Test Engineer, I am responsible for ensuring the quality of the Subscriptions and Payments domain. I will test complex backend processes and API integrations within a modern microservices architecture. My role is not just to test what already exists; I am here to help build something better. I dive into logs and data and actively contribute ideas for improving our applications.
To drive our teams’ success, I promote the right team setup and a data-driven mentality. Insight into up-to-date information is essential for making the right decisions; thus, data is integrated into all teams within Nederlandse Loterij.
Thanks to my efforts, I will ensure that existing and new information systems are tested for desired functionalities, contributing directly to a happy, healthy, and sporty Netherlands. My key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing specifications and translating them into manual and automated test cases.
- Expanding and maintaining test automation within a CI/CD pipeline.
- Testing and validating batch and time-dependent processes.
- Maintaining and extending regression test suites.
- Reporting on test results, analyzing findings, and advising on improvements.
- Collaborating in an international, agile team environment and actively contributing to team growth.

Description
In my capacity as a Test Engineer, I am offered the following: - A salary between €4,300 and €6,000 gross per month, depending on my experience. - A position for 32 - 40 hours per week. - A bonus scheme. - Access to a healthy and varied lunch in our corporate restaurant for €3.25. Our office in Rijswijk is where I perform my work, but I also have the flexibility to choose a location that best suits my role. Additional terms and conditions of employment will be provided.
