- HBO-WO (Bachelor level) with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge and experience in leading projects.
- Familiarity with Prince II and MSP methodologies.
- Affinity for solving complex problems.
- Experience and knowledge of border processes within the KMar, including visa procedures and asylum processes.
- Experience and knowledge in Defense, Justice & Security sectors, including relevant networks.
- Persistence and resilience.
- Political sensitivity and environmental awareness regarding coordination with authorities (Future Borders program) and other defense components (e.g., JIVC).
- Skills in planning and organizing.
- Ability to proactively lead a team to achieve collective results.
- The candidate should fit well into the Future Borders team and be a valuable addition.
- A Master’s degree in Project Management is preferred.

Technologies
Responsibilities
I will lead the implementation of several EU regulations at the KMar, integrated within the Future Borders Program. Key projects include:
- EURODAC: Managing a central database of fingerprints of asylum seekers, supporting the EUs common asylum policy. This includes implementing biometric identification methods like facial recognition.
- SIS: Overseeing the Schengen Information System (SIS II) that facilitates information exchange among border guards within the Schengen Area, enabling the seamless movement of individuals. Upcoming changes will add new target groups and allow the storage of biometric data.
- VIS: Coordinating the Visa Information System (VIS) to enable Schengen member states to exchange visa data. This involves connecting non-EU consulates with border posts and implementing required adjustments, such as raising visa fees and introducing a multiple-entry visa for frequent travelers.
This role is currently temporary, pending the availability of structural funding, with a potential for extension.

I offer a competitive salary ranging from €5,748 to €7,427 per month, within the IBBAD 12 salary scale. The position allows for 32 to 38 hours per week and is a permanent employment contract.
