Requirements

Must:
- 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps role - Extensive SRE and software development experience, with a strong background in DevOps practices - Comprehensive knowledge of multiple programming languages (.Net, Python, Bash, C#, React, GoLang) - Proficient in (Azure) cloud platforms and tooling (Terraform/OpenTofu, ArgoCD, GitLab) - Experienced in using and extending observability tooling like Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and system/application performance monitoring - Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine operational tasks - Deep understanding of infrastructure and software development security best practices - Affinity to evangelize technologies, coach, and influence others to improve - Flexibility and willingness to perform on-call duties in a rotation scheme - Excellent working experience in English, both verbal and in writing; Dutch is a plus

Responsibilities

In my role as a Site Reliability Engineer at Lely, I take on a leading position in developing and implementing our SRE/DevOps strategy. I enjoy working with modern Site Reliability Engineering, GitOps, and CI/CD principles, technologies, and methodologies. I prioritize continuous improvement in operations, practicing comprehensive DevOps. My proactive approach allows me to identify and implement enhancements in the software development and delivery process. By regularly reviewing processes, tools, and systems, I aim to boost efficiency, effectiveness, and software quality. My work involves monitoring, analyzing root causes, experimenting, and providing feedback loops, as well as coaching colleagues. I collaborate closely with my team and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions and knowledge that enhance reliability, scalability, observability, and performance. I focus on eliminating toil through automation and leveraging managed solutions to optimize the operation of our infrastructure and products. As a senior member, I am proactive in suggesting improvements and sharing my expert knowledge in automation, observability, and performance optimization. I actively coach team members and developers on best practices in reliability engineering.

This position is a full-time role (36-40 hours per week) with the primary work location being the head office in Maassluis for 60% of the time.
