Requirements
Must:
- Must have demonstrated expertise in designing, optimizing, and implementing large-scale data pipelines and ETL workflows, enforcing data quality, data governance, and data modeling standards.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including API design and development, code reviews, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines, along with an interest in DevOps and SRE principles for reliable production deployments.
- Proficiency in our tech stack including Python for data processing on Databricks, Snowflake, Kubernetes, DBT, and Grafana for visualizations. Experience with most of these tools and their advanced features is required.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with key data science and machine learning processes, such as data cleaning and preprocessing, feature engineering, model training and tuning, model deployment, and monitoring model performance.
- Experience in energy trading, building and optimizing data pipelines for algorithmic trading, and collaborating with traders and quants for robust, scalable solutions is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data ingestion pipelines and ETL workflows for various trading data sources, including market prices and execution trades.
- Create efficient data models to support portfolio management, market analytics, and algorithmic trading initiatives.
- Develop and maintain robust databases to operationalize models effectively.
- Collaborate with other engineers to create end-to-end solutions for analysis, modeling, and trading activities.
- Work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to tailor and scale trading data systems, offering technical guidance to support analytics and business goals.
- Ensure data solutions are reliable, scalable, and adaptable to evolving business needs and market developments.
