Requirements
Must:
To excel as a Solution Architect, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- 5+ years' experience working on IT Architecture, preferably in the context of a staff department within a multinational organization.
- Solid experience in translating requirements into (technical) tooling and solutions.
- Experience working with various architecture tools and familiarity with modeling and standardizing architecture is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience dealing with compliance and risk topics is considered a plus.
- Excellent references are required as a pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment procedure.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are mandatory. Candidates with an EU (work) visa or those holding both EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible due to the military nature of our projects.
Responsibilities
As the Solution Architect within Damen Naval's IT Staff Department, you are responsible for delivering IT solutions in various IT and business projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Consulting on and designing new and current IT solutions.
- Creating standard reusable building blocks and low-level designs.
- Guiding project teams in making the right technological decisions.
- Cooperating with the Cyber Security team and security architects to ensure our technical solutions are secure and compliant.
- Collaborating with Enterprise architects to ensure our solutions align with the high-level design, (IT) strategy, and architecture vision.
