Responsibilities

In my role as a Java specialist at the Belastingdienst, I am constantly seeking improvement. I provide technical perspectives on upcoming developments and prepare user stories. I collaborate with architects and offer technical solutions that not only work in the present but also align with the long-term plans. Additionally, I explore new technologies such as big data and NoSQL and assess how they can be implemented within the primary processes of the Belastingdienst. I also take on a coaching and advisory role for colleagues and present at various industry events and conferences.

Description

As a member of the Directie Informatievoorziening, the ICT department of the Belastingdienst, I am part of a team responsible for providing reliable information systems and ICT services for both internal and external stakeholders. Our agile-mindset approach allows for open, transparent, learning-focused, and knowledge-sharing work environments. We are dedicated to modernizing and developing new products and services that align with the needs of our stakeholders. The Belastingdienst, with approximately 25,000 employees, plays a significant role in ensuring the financial well-being of the Netherlands by levying and collecting taxes, detecting fraud, and providing efficient, timely, and fair services to both citizens and businesses. We welcome applications from individuals in the target group for increased job opportunities for those with disabilities, and we are committed to supporting their optimal functioning in the workplace. Additionally, our recruitment process may include online assessments, case studies, reference checks, and screenings. To apply for a position, a one-time account creation is required. Applicants can monitor the status of their application through their account. I encourage interested individuals to apply promptly and not wait until the last moment to avoid potential technical difficulties.
