Description

Our IT services are constantly evolving. As a DB2 developer, I ensure that multidisciplinary teams make the best use of technology, providing support to development teams in Apeldoorn (1-2 days per week) and remotely to create the most effective applications for Customs. I work within the Integrated Business Services Customs (IBS-Douane), in the Technical Support Team (TTO), which aids development teams in utilizing technology appropriately. As a DB2 DBA, I support these teams in designing and modifying databases, emphasizing non-functional requirements such as performance, availability, scalability, and security. I also advise and support on database housekeeping matters, ensuring smooth functioning. Joining the Information Provision Directorate, I contribute to modernizing the IT landscape for Customs, interacting closely with various ICT professionals. This role allows for a significant amount of remote work and offers an opportunity to influence and support software development teams. My experience helps drive up processing capacity. I appreciate the challenge in convincing others of my vision for software development.
