IT & Software Developer jobs in the Netherlands
Requirements
Must:
You bring:
- 3 to 5 years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Relevant development experience at a SaaS platform.
- Experience with GraphQL and SQL (preferably PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of serverless technologies and AWS services.
- Basic knowledge of Angular, or the willingness to learn quickly.
- Availability to work at least 2 days per week at our office in Houten.
- A valid work status in the Netherlands, without the need for sponsorship.
Responsibilities
As a Fullstack Developer, I will play a key role in the further development of our client-facing application, while simultaneously developing my expertise. With my experience in Node.js and TypeScript, I will mainly focus on the backend, while also maintaining the frontend in Angular. Within our small, close-knit team, I will have the freedom and responsibility to make decisions that create real impact. I will take ownership of my work, communicate openly with my colleagues, and help build a stable and user-friendly platform used worldwide. Additionally, I will:
- Manage databases using PostgreSQL and TypeORM.
- Build GraphQL APIs for real-time data access.
- Deploy and optimize AWS infrastructure using Serverless Framework and Terraform.
Description
I will join a small and dedicated R&D team where open communication, trust, and collaboration are at the core. Everyone has a clear voice: I will contribute ideas, take responsibility, and have the freedom to make my own choices. Instead of rigid frameworks and layers of decision-making, I will find short lines and a flat structure. Basetime is a fast-growing scale-up developing unique hardware and software for autonomous monitoring of landslides, structures, and water levels. Thanks to the high accuracy and wide applicability of our measurement system, we are a global frontrunner. We are in the middle of an exciting growth phase: major international partners are ready to adopt our platform, and I can play an important role in this journey! I am a developer who takes ownership and isnβt afraid to make decisions. I thrive in a small team environment, where I communicate openly, contribute to solutions, and take responsibility for shared results. I keep oversight, remain calm under pressure, and know how to set priorities. In return for my contributions, I can expect: - A monthly salary between β¬4,800 and β¬6,000 (based on full-time). - Hybrid working: up to 2 days per week from home. - 28 vacation days based on a full-time contract. - Company-wide bonus scheme depending on business results. - Pension scheme with Zwitserleven. - Travel allowance of β¬0.23 per km (calculated from the first 10 km one-way). - A 7-month contract with the prospect of a permanent position. - The opportunity to be part of a successful and growing organization with a driven, enthusiastic team.
