Requirements
Must:
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years in high-tech industry with proven expertise in computer systems engineering.
- Strong experience in:
- Windows & Linux OS internals and performance tuning.
- Virtualization (KVM, VMware) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Network architecture and troubleshooting; experience with Juniper switches is a plus.
- Automation tools (Ansible) and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Shell).
- System performance analysis and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles.
- Familiarity with software lifecycle management.
- Experience in C# development and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework) is a plus.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Computer Systems Engineer within ASMLs Business Line Applications, I will lead the Software Facility & Infrastructure group in the Metrology and Patterning Cluster. I will drive architecture and design decisions for scalable computing platforms, analyzing and optimizing system performance across Windows and Linux environments. I will lead network troubleshooting to ensure robust connectivity for complex systems and own technology competence areas such as Ansible, C#, Windows, Linux, Juniper OS, PowerShell, virtualization, containers, and networking. I will automate OS installation/configuration and infrastructure provisioning, implement and maintain virtualization and containerization frameworks like KVM and Kubernetes, and ensure end-to-end quality through testing strategies, including automated frameworks. Collaborating with DevOps, IT infrastructure, and hardware teams in an Agile/SAFe environment will be part of my role. Additionally, I will act as a technology mentor and competence owner for critical domains.
