Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. - 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related discipline. - Hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and cloud platforms (Azure required; GCP preferred). - Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Scala, or Java. - Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases. - Experience with production-grade data pipelines and formats like Parquet, Delta Lake, or Iceberg. - Familiarity with data governance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27000) is a plus.

Responsibilities

As part of our AI platform team, I am responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines that support AI use cases across ASML. My key responsibilities include: - Refactoring and building reusable data pipelines in Databricks, following best practices and design patterns. - Ensuring pipelines are catalogued and compliant with ASML standards. - Collaborating with data scientists, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions. - Optimizing pipelines for cost, performance, scalability, and reliability. - Designing and operating ELT pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. - Implementing rigorous testing and monitoring protocols using tools like Pytest. - Resolving performance bottlenecks and optimizing Spark-based workloads. - Staying current with data engineering trends and applying them where relevant. - Participating in code reviews and documentation efforts. - Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to competence development.

The indicative (fixed) annual salary range is between 88,577 euros and 99,649 euros, which includes vacation allowance and a 13th-month payment. The actual compensation offered will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, education, work experience, and certifications.
