Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Warehouse or ETL development within financial services or asset management.
- Proven experience with SAS, SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Macro programming.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational data models.
- Experience working in Asset Management / Investment Management domains (e.g., portfolios, holdings, benchmarks, market data, risk).
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and curiosity to explore how data supports investment decisions.
- Collaborative team player comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication skills (English required; Dutch a plus).
- Proactive and eager to upskill from SAS to modern cloud data engineering.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, optimise, and enhance existing SAS-based DWH components (ETL jobs, data marts, reports).
- Analyse, document, and reverse engineer legacy data flows, business logic, and dependencies.
- Design and implement data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and transformation logic in the target Azure Databricks platform.
- Collaborate with data architects and platform engineers to define target-state models, ingestion patterns, and metadata-driven frameworks.
- Migrate and refactor SAS ETL logic into PySpark/SQL on Databricks following best practices.
- Contribute to data quality, reconciliation, and test automation for migrated datasets.
