Requirements
Must:
- Solid experience in programming and software architecture, with strong affinity for monitoring and automation of mechanical systems; ideally 7+ years of experience.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Dutch is a plus.
- Team player with broad interest in technology, strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in (some of) Python, Go, SQL, C/C++.
- Solid grasp of DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab).
- Experience developing engineering and simulation tools for physical systems or process optimization.
- Willingness to occasionally work offshore to support system commissioning and testing.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end software development projects for engineering applications.
- Ensure alignment with system requirements and technical standards.
- Drive innovation and technical excellence across all phases of development.
- Design and oversee software architecture for integrated monitoring systems.
- Enable real-time decision-making and automation through robust system design.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Develop algorithms and processing logic to convert sensor data and simulations into actionable insights.
- Optimize performance and reliability of engineering applications.
- Contribute to process optimization and system efficiency.
- Mentor and support engineers, fostering a culture of quality and innovation.
- Encourage experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement as a lead.
- Collaborate across disciplines to deliver impactful solutions.
