Requirements
Must:
- 3-8 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on security.
- Solid knowledge of secure coding principles and common security frameworks (OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., static code analysis, penetration testing, threat modeling).
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (C++, Java, or Python preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both development and security teams.
- HBO or WO degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
- Comfortable working remotely with engineering teams in other countries than the Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining secure software components and systems.
- Implementing and integrating security features such as authentication, encryption, and access control.
- Performing code reviews and vulnerability assessments to ensure software integrity and compliance with security standards.
- Collaborating with development teams to identify and mitigate potential security risks throughout the software lifecycle.
- Supporting incident response, root-cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Keeping up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve system resilience.
